Afterwards, we went to a local practicing artists studio by the name of the Maedder House. A gentleman by the name of Patrick who showed us around rally had some insightful and creative work. It was a cool experience, but it was funny how gaga some people went over him. It kind of made me laugh a little bit.
My friend Joy was telling me while we were eating lunch at the museum about a program I want to look into called Woof - willing workers on organic farms. Basically, you work on a farm for a period of time in exchange for free housing and perhaps a little food. I need to look into it a little more, but it sounds like a great way to take vacation. I need to talk to the farmer before hand to find someone who has worked there before. So needless to say, I'll be checking it out.
This afternoon was awesome though compared to what I anticipated the evening to be. We went back to Patricks studio and played with the kids for 20 minutes or so and then the four of us who went down headed back up to the guest house for beer and journaling. Great combo :)
We also had a chance to meet some local girls who were a part of the local Morija community. They were a part of the video that our group has viewed that explains a little bit about the lifestyle of young girls in Morija. It was a neat video and explained a lot about their lifestyles.
